Your air conditioner isn’t working. Now what? 

Check your thermostat & listen closely

Double check that your thermostat has batteries and is free of dust & debris. Once you’re sure your system is on, listen for any noises that may be coming from your AC system. 

Check your air filter

Been a while since you replaced your air filter? An old air filter will likely be clogged – preventing proper air flow. 

Check the circuit breakers

Your air conditioner could have tripped a circuit – flip the breaker and turn your air conditioner back on. If the circuit trips again, there is a problem with your AC unit that requires professional attention. 

Check your AC vents

Are there any obstructions preventing air from flowing out of your AC vents? Clearing the way for your AC vents to work properly will reduce the strain on your cooling system.
